Whether you are looking for long-term or
short-term care, Lutheran Home - Winston-Salem offers compassionate care and
personal attention to people of all faiths. In 2001, Lutheran Home -
Winston-Salem joined a long tradition of quality care when its operation was
assumed by Lutheran Services for the Aging. Now, as a not-for-profit
organization, Lutheran Home - Winston-Salem is able to devote its financial
resources to innovation and continuous quality improvement. Recent grants from
generous donors have financed the renovation of the home's therapy services and
Lutheran Home - Winston-Salem is now able to provide state-of-the-art
rehabilitation services for short-term or long-term care.
Like its
affiliates, Lutheran Home - Winston-Salem is part of the Lutheran Wellspring
Alliance of the Carolinas, a healthcare collaborative formed to improve quality
of life and quality of care for nursing home residents. The alliance encourages
innovative and non-traditional ways of providing care, restructuring the
environment, and empowering staff. The program also encourages collaboration
where the sharing of ideas, resources and data strengthens the quality of the
services provided. Grants from the North Carolina Coalition for Long Term Care
Enhancement, The Duke Endowment and the Kate B. Reynolds Charitable Trust have
funded the program. |
