| Lutheran Services for the Aging,
Inc. and its affiliate ministries operate as not-for-profit organizations under
the 501(c)(3) license of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). As
a not-for-profit organization, Lutheran Services for the Aging cares for older
adults not as a business venture, but as an expression of faith. With the ever
increasing costs of healthcare and shrinking Medicaid reimbursements, gifts
enable LSA to provide quality healthcare and residential services to those in
need regardless of faith, race, disability or economic status. Only with your
help can LSA continue to provide comfort and protection to these vulnerable
populations. Contributions keep the mission of Lutheran Services for the Aging
alive and are tax deductible as allowed by law. |

Tribute giving LSA is pleased to accept gifts
in honor or memory of someone special in a donor's life. A card will be sent to
the honoree, or to the family of the bereaved, informing them of the gift. You
may make your gift on-line, by phone or by mail as described above.

LSA giving clubs LSA offers two giving clubs.
The Shepherd Society recognizes those who have made cumulative gifts of $500 or
more, and those who have given 100 hours or more of volunteer service, within
the calendar year. The Codicil Club honors those living individuals who have
included LSA in their wills or who have used some other legal device to create
long-term benefit for LSA. These devices may include trusts, annuities, life
insurance policies, and retirement accounts.
Planned giving Planned gifts are established
during an individual's lifetime and may involve deferred benefits for the
recipient organization, the donor or both. LSA development staff work in
collaboration with the ELCA Foundation to provide detailed and up-to-date
planned giving information to interested donors without obligation. LSA is aslo
happy to work with a donor's personal attorney or financial advisor. For more
information, please call Betty Kuhn at 704-754-7563 or contact her at
bkuhn@lsanc.net.
Gifts of stock, mutual funds, and real
property Gifts of appreciated securities, real estate, and other
real property may provide valuable tax benefits to the donor and are most
welcomed by LSA. For more information, please call Betty Kuhn at 704-754-7563
or contact her at
bkuhn@lsanc.net. |
